About Megan
Hi, I’m Megan — a friendly and enthusiastic tutor offering personalised English and Maths lessons for students from primary school through to GCSE level. I believe every student learns best when lessons are adapted to their individual needs, interests, and learning style. I create engaging sessions that help students build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a positive attitude towards learning. Lessons are tailored around each child, using topics and examples that interest them to make learning more enjoyable and relatable — whether that’s using creative writing inspired by films and characters they love, or applying maths to real-life situations. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.

Each lesson is designed around your child’s individual goals, strengths, and areas for development. Sessions are engaging, interactive, and personalised to help students make progress while enjoying the learning process. Lessons may include building confidence with key skills, tackling challenging topics, improving exam technique, and developing independent learning strategies. For English, sessions can focus on reading comprehension, creative writing, essay structure, analysis, and GCSE Language & Literature preparation. For Maths, sessions can focus on problem solving, number skills, algebra, geometry, exam preparation, and building confidence with tricky concepts. Every lesson is adapted to your child’s interests and learning style — from using creative themes and real-world examples to making topics more relatable and enjoyable.
