About Joanne
I have two great interests: acting and science! I am a current student at London Metropolitan University, studying dietetics and nutrition. I have just passed all first year exams at the level of a First degree. Modules included biochemistry, physics, cell biology, anatomy, psychology and human nutrition. I have a lifelong interest in science and the natural world, and my previous highest qualification was in Natural Sciences at level 3.
I am an actor, with experience in movies, TV, short films, theatre and commercials, with training at RADA and City Lit. I have experience teaching acting to groups of children and adults, for several projects over the years.
Areas of experience are: acting, voice, Shakespeare, improvisation, immersive performance, US accent. Movement: contact Improvisation, Laban movement, sequence dance. Techniques: Meisner, Strasberg (the method), Stanislavski, Chubbock.
I feel happy and confident teaching people of all ages, as a result of my training and experience. I have also worked for events company, London Youth Film Awards for 5 years, and this involves a lot of work with primary age children.
