About Jemma-Rose
Hi, I'm Jemma! I am currently a university student and a passionate guitar player who loves sharing music with others.
I started playing guitar when I was young as a hobby, but over the years it has become one of the most rewarding parts of my life. I have been playing guitar for 12 years and enjoy continually learning and developing my skills. I have experience with acoustic guitar, classical guitar, and rock-based rhythm electric guitar through both personal projects and school bands.
I want to teach because I know how exciting it is to learn a new song, master a difficult technique, or gain the confidence to play in front of others. Having experienced these milestones myself, I enjoy helping students achieve their own goals and discover the enjoyment that comes from making music. While I am relatively new to formal guitar tutoring, I have helped friends learn basic chords and techniques, and I am excited to share my knowledge with students who are beginning their own musical journey.
Because I remember what it was like to be a beginner, I understand the challenges new players face and aim to make learning guitar enjoyable and approachable. I create a friendly, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and progressing at their own pace. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your existing skills, I will tailor lessons to your interests and learning style to help you stay motivated and make steady progress.
My goal is not only to teach guitar skills but also to help students build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music. I look forward to helping you on your musical journey!

My approach to teaching is student-focused, practical, and tailored to each individual’s goals. Whether you want to learn your favourite songs, improve your technique, or build confidence playing guitar, I design lessons that are engaging, structured, and suited to your learning style.
I use a combination of hands-on playing and targeted technique exercises. Students are encouraged to learn songs they enjoy while also developing the foundational skills needed to become confident and independent musicians. Lessons are supportive, encouraging, and paced according to each student’s progress.
Lessons are typically 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on the student’s age, experience level, and goals. Each lesson includes clear objectives and practical exercises so students can continue improving between sessions.
I hold a Certificate III in Music Performance and a Certificate III in Sound Production, giving me both practical performance experience and a strong understanding of recording, audio technology, and modern music production.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate players, and advanced students of all ages. Whether you are picking up the guitar for the first time or preparing for performances, I aim to help you achieve your musical goals in a fun, structured, and effective learning environment.
