About Rudransh
I am a dedicated GIS and Geomatics student at the University of Waterloo, minoring in Computer Science, with hands-on experience in real municipal and environmental projects. I’ve worked with the Regional Municipality of York and Esri Canada, where I supported mapping, spatial analysis, data preparation, and automated workflows using ArcGIS Pro, FME, Python, and SQL. I also have field experience with GPS data collection, surveying, and environmental research. I enjoy breaking down complex GIS concepts into simple, clear steps, and I focus on helping others build practical, real-world skills they can use with confidence.

As a GIS tutor, I bring a strong blend of academic training and real industry experience that helps students learn GIS in a clear, practical, and confidence‑building way. I study Geomatics at the University of Waterloo with a minor in Computer Science, and I’ve worked hands‑on as a GIS Technician for the Regional Municipality of York, where I performed geospatial data preparation, spatial analysis, automated FME workflows, and dashboard development. I’ve also supported municipal clients at Esri Canada, gaining experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, geodatabase design, and environmental mapping. My background in field surveying, GPS data collection, and environmental research allows me to explain GIS concepts using real‑world examples rather than theory alone. I teach step‑by‑step, making complex tools easy to understand, and I focus on practical skills in Python, SQL, ArcGIS, FME, and data visualization so students can apply what they learn immediately.
