About Thushane
I am a passionate Sinhala speaker with a strong connection to my culture and language. Growing up bilingual, I understand the value of preserving our mother tongue and the confidence it brings in connecting with family, community, and heritage. I want to teach Sinhala because I believe every child should have the opportunity to learn their native language in a fun, supportive, and meaningful way. I’m especially passionate about helping the younger generation build strong foundations in both spoken and written Sinhala, no matter their starting point. Teaching allows me to share my love for the language while supporting children to grow in confidence and cultural identity.

My Sinhala lessons are designed to support children from Kindergarten to Year 12 in both spoken and written Sinhala. I create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that build language skills step by step—starting with simple vocabulary and conversation for younger learners, and gradually moving towards grammar, reading, writing, and comprehension for older students. My goal is to help children feel confident communicating in Sinhala while also gaining a deeper understanding of the language and culture. Whether your child is just beginning or looking to strengthen their skills, each lesson is tailored to suit their level and learning style.
