About Douglas
I am a fully qualified teacher. I obtained my degree at Edinburgh university. I have taught in secondary schools since 2015, as well as delivering online lessons from home. I am fluent in French and Spanish. I am a native English speaker. In 2012 I was lucky enough to live and work in France for a year. I believe strongly in the benefits of language learning and continue to learn other languages myself.

My teaching methodology depends on the class and/or the individual. If you want to focus on conversation, we can focus on conversation. If you have an exam to prepare for we can work towards that. It will be tailored to your needs and I will create something personalised to help you achieve your goals whether you are a complete beginner or been learning a language for ten years. I am friendly and approachable and create an atmosphere which allows for mistakes to be made without judgement and in turn, learning to happen!
