About Mr Ahad
Hello, I’m Mr Ahad, a fully qualified Science teacher with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their potential in Science.
I hold a BSc in Medical Physiology and Therapeutics from the University of Nottingham and a PGCE in Secondary Science, specialising in Biology. I have experience teaching students aged 11–19 across a wide range of abilities and qualifications, including KS3 Science, GCSE Biology, GCSE Physics, GCSE Combined Science, A Level Biology and BTEC Applied Science.
I believe that Science should be understandable, engaging and accessible to every student. My teaching focuses on breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps, explaining concepts clearly and giving students plenty of opportunities to apply what they have learned through questions and exam practice.
I also have experience supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs, allowing me to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs and abilities.
My lessons are carefully planned around a structured curriculum to help students make consistent progress. Whether a student needs additional support with a difficult topic, wants to improve their exam technique or is aiming to push themselves further, I aim to provide a supportive environment where they can ask questions, develop their understanding and become more confident in Science.

My Approach to Tutoring:
My approach to tutoring is structured, supportive and focused on making science easier to understand while building students’ confidence and independence. I use clear explanations, worked examples, questioning and regular opportunities for students to apply their knowledge through exam-style questions and practical problem-solving.
Each lesson follows a thoroughly planned curriculum designed to ensure maximum progress. I adapt my teaching to the needs of each student, identifying areas of strength and weakness and adjusting the pace, explanations and level of challenge accordingly. I aim to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
Lesson Length:
I can provide online 1-to-1 sessions or online group sessions (3 hours).
My small-group online sessions take place every Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Students receive a three-hour session, priced at £27 in total (£9 per hour), covering 1 hour of Biology, 1 hour of Chemistry and 1 hour of Physics.
Qualifications and Experience:
I am a fully qualified Science teacher with experience teaching students aged 11–19 across a wide range of abilities and qualifications. My teaching experience includes KS3 Science, GCSE Biology, GCSE Physics, GCSE Combined Science, A Level Biology and BTEC Applied Science. I also have experience supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs and use adaptive teaching approaches to ensure that students can access and make progress with the science curriculum. I have been tutoring for around 10 years now.
Who the Lessons Are For:
The sessions are designed primarily for students aged 13–16 studying Science GCSE. They are suitable for students studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The small-group format allows students to benefit from teacher-led instruction while also having opportunities to ask questions, participate in discussions and practise applying their knowledge.
