About Richard
I'm a secondary, English Literature, teacher based in Edinburgh and am looking to tutor students working within the BGE or towards Scottish national exams.
I've just finished a long term contract at Queensferry High School and have just joined the supply list for the City of Edinburgh.

Excellent teaching is built on positive personal relationships. The rapport that I build up with my students allows for extensive personalisation and choice of materials and paves the way to consolidating strengths as well as shoring up weaknesses.
I moved to teach in Scotland in 2020 and have just finished 18 months at Queensferry High School. Before that, I worked for 7 years at Headfort School in the Republic of Ireland.
I have a Masters of Arts in English Literature from Aberdeen University and a PGDE from the University of Edinburgh.
