About Tiaan
I am working for a telecommunications company that is called Alphawave Mobile Network Services. I have been working for that company for eight years. I am employed as the company’s health and safety officer. I have several qualifications that relate to occupational health and safety. I am an accredited TEFL tutor which I obtained in February 2020. Growing up in South Africa I had English as a subject throughout my entire school career.

The teaching approach that I will use depends largely on the age and level of language efficiency of the student. However There are some characteristics that I do possess that I Believe is essential in tutoring. Caring, Patient Encouraging, Friendly and uplifting. I will bring these characteristics to every lesson to make the student as comfortable and confident as possible. In my more direct approach, different materials will be used, depending on wat the topic and the goal is for a particular lesson. For instance, if I want to teach the student new vocabulary, I will make use of flash cards or word searches or an audio linguistic approach, if the goal is grammar,
