About Ryan
I am an experienced musicologist with a masters degree from King's College, London. My masters' dissertation explored the interplay between culture and music in the performance of the Americana genre in 21st century America. I have taught Music history and theory in schools and as a private tutor for over four years.

Every lesson is geared to the particular requirements of my students. Through observations of the students' work and through a constant dialogue with the student regarding their progress, I ensure each lesson is suitable for their desires and interests. My knowledge and expertise cover a wide range of music history, from the Italian Renaissance to developments in Hip-Hop in the 21st century. My lessons explore the interplay between culture and music, using various visual and audio aids to facilitate discussions and analysis of key historical events.
