About Dr Gavin
I am a tenured PhD professor with over a decade of academic and research experience, specializing in research methods, dissertation support, and academic publishing. I hold a PhD, MSc, and BSc (hons). I have published extensively in top-ranked international journals and contributed to national policy development and large-scale research projects. Each year, I mentor around 15 master’s students through their dissertations, many of whom are returning to education after years in the workforce or are navigating academic research for the first time. I understand the challenges of balancing research, work, and personal commitments, and I tailor my approach to support students at all levels. My sessions focus on developing your research skills, structuring your dissertation effectively, and refining your methodology. I also provide guidance on publishing research, including journal selection, manuscript structuring, and responding to reviewer feedback. Lesson Details
Typical Length:
- First core session: 60–90 minutes (Only charged at 60 minutes, so you don’t need to watch the clock.)
- Subsequent sessions: 30–60 minutes (Charged as a half-hour or full-hour session)
- Most students require ~240-300 minutes over several sessions, but we start with a free 30-minute meeting to create a customized plan best suited to your requirements.

- Online sessions (flexible scheduling)
- Evenings or Weekends only
