About Stuart
I have been teaching in English in Secondary Schools for 25 years and tutoring for 5. Now is the time for me to break free of the chains of the school system and teach for the joy of it and to give back to those students for whom the restraints of normal classroom interaction are proving too hard to negotiate. Let me offer your child an alternative route to success with rigour, high expectation and humour.

My teaching is based on giving my students confidence and, adopting at all times, the personal approach. This means that there is no 'one size fits all' to my sessions. I will assess your child's strengths, weaknesses and particular learning preferences and teach accordingly. Their needs will be uppermost in my mind and central to all that I do. My experience in teaching students of all abilities and from many different backgrounds will inform the methods that I will use in putting your child's success first.
