About Mia
My name is Mia, I would like to teach because as a child who struggled socially in school, literature lessons were my safe place. I wasn’t very good until the end of GCSEs wherein I achieved 7/8s in English. I want people to engage in the process I went through: feeling stuck, but seeking help and getting there, finally and fortunately gaining confidence. Exams aren't the end of the world, as ironic it is of a uni student to say this, it’s true. They’re dreadful, but I want to help take the weight off.

I want to help give those struggling with Literature a sense of growth and opportunity. I have a homeschooled ADHD brother with a very stagnant mindset, who couldn’t comprehend how Literature works. I helped him out and he began to think critically and analytically - this is an anecdote that I’d hope to repeat with other students at GCSE level.
