About Emily
Hi, my name is Emily and I am a GCSE French tutor. Languages can unlock countless opportunities, but they can be difficult and feel overwhelming, especially when juggled with 8 other GCSE subjects. My aim is to make each aspect of the language feel more manageable, and to help build a reliable base of vocabulary and grammar to help pupils feel confident and succeed in exams.

I offer tutoring for GCSE French pupils, for all students whether they are aiming for a passing grade or a level 8 or 9.
I have completed A Level French (achieving a grade A), speak the language regularly with native speakers in a university society, and have experience tutoring GCSE pupils who increased their marks by 1-3 grades from their mocks to GCSE exams.
Many students struggle to get to the next level with languages due to a lack of individual feedback and attention in school, so my lessons always aim to build a solid learning relationship with the pupil to understand specific areas for improvement and confidence-building.
Lessons take typically 45 mins to 1 hour, though this is flexible.
I have a passion for languages but understand that they can be very challenging, so I hope to make French more accessible and enjoyable for all pupils.
