About Arabella
I’m now 18 years old and about to start university. I have always really enjoyed English throughout my academic career and have developed a real passion for English Literature. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE English and a B in A-Level English Literature, and I’d love to help other students build their confidence and enjoyment of the subject too. I’m a very bubbly and lighthearted person, and I think being approachable and easy to talk to is really important when tutoring. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, without feeling under pressure. Outside of studying, I love keeping active and spending time outdoors. I play hockey, enjoy going for walks in the countryside and love spending time with animals. I’m also a hardworking and resilient person, and I always want to see the people I work with do their best and feel proud of their progress.

With Grade 9s in both GCSE English Language and Literature, and a B in A-Level English Literature, I can confidently support students across both levels. During initial lessons, I will assess your strengths, weaknesses and confidence to structure future sessions around your individual needs. From my previous tutoring experience, I have found this approach to be the most successful, allowing me to identify the learning style that suits each student best. Lessons may include essay practice, applied quotation recall, breaking down model answers and targeted discussion, followed by achievable homework tasks to consolidate learning before the next session. My aim is to make lessons engaging, supportive and personalised, helping students develop their skills while building confidence in their progress.
