About Zachary
I also teach more advanced subjects like animation, 3d software and architecture so this is probably not relevant to maths gcse but I’ve used this for the other subjects I’m tutoring. but it gives you a sense of other things I am able to offer.
I am currently a 21-year-old student, studying an undergraduate degree in architecture at de Montfort university.
Alongside my degree, I have also set up an events business that manages and organises events for de Montfort student union. I set this up as I wanted to use the skills I have learnt myself from studying 3d softwares. Where I create animations and graphic designs for marketing.
I am currently in my final year of architecture, but have already secured a job working for a start up fashion brand which is currently raising funds. £107,000 so far. They used to have a store in Covent Garden in London, but are now opening an interactive art experience/shop in Knightsbridge London where I will manage all the digital displays as well as creating the interactive art exhibits, and promotional content (animation/graphic design) for marketing for that brand. I also will maintain and operate equipment that is used for custom designs on items of clothes (laser cutters).
alongside this, I currently have work experience this summer at frameless in London, which is the U.K.’s biggest multi sensory exhibit
The reason why I want to tutor is because I have struggled with the educational system myself with my dyslexia and believe I have a skill that could potentially help someone similar to me find something they’re good at instead of struggling with the way education works.
Whilst teaching the softwares I could also show the workflow I use in freelance jobs as well as projects I am currently working on for no one true anything (the clothing brand). I could then set mini tasks that could be used in a portfolio for applying for university.

.I did my GCSE maths a year early achieving an A*.
I struggled myself mainly with the wording of the maths papers due to my dyslexia.
I can assist with dealing with dyslexia when it comes down to explaining the wording of questions and simplifying the questions to something understandable. Basically teaching how to figure out what the question is asking.
If your child’s not dyslexic I can still teach my methods I used as a lot of marks lost in exams are down to misunderstanding the question. Especially with time pressure.
If the areas of weakness are already known I can gather exam questions and work through those areas.
if not I can send over a couple past papers. I’d ask if you could time and change ink colour when the time runs out. So I can see what level they are at as well as the time it takes.
