About Ismail
I achieved a Grade 8 in Edexcel GCSE Maths (Higher tier), so I know the exam structure from a student’s perspective. I also hold a Level 5 TEFL qualification – this means I’m trained to explain ideas clearly, especially for students who find word problems or maths vocabulary challenging.
I’m recently finished college, and I’ve recently sat exams myself, so I understand the pressure and how to prepare effectively.
I teach male students only in accordance with my faith. This allows me to create a focused, comfortable learning environment.

I help GCSE Foundation students (Grades 1–5) who find maths confusing or fast‑paced at school. My lessons are clear, patient, and built around real understanding.
How lessons work:
Recall – we start each lesson by revisiting the previous topic so it stays with you.
Simple teaching – I explain one step at a time using a digital whiteboard with a stylus (clear, like writing on paper), or a screen share of the question.
Guided practice – you try exam questions. If you get stuck, I give hints, not just answers.
Ongoing review – any topic that feels tricky gets noted and revisited naturally in future lessons. Over time, those become your strengths.
Lesson setup:
1 hour, online (Zoom or Google Meet)
Digital whiteboard with stylus or a screen share of the problem.
