About Alex
Hello world, I am an alumnus of THE TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY, in the historical city of Tuskegee, Alabama and the University of West Alabama in Livingston, AL. I come hailing from a small town in Alabama. I attended the ONLY high school near my town, Clarke County High School, where I began my journey as a role model for many. When I was 12 years old, my mother and I started an addition game that allowed us to add the phone numbers of different infomercials as fast as we could. Since the start of that game until now, I have developed a deep love for numbers and mathematics. An opportunity to impact the future generation with the "gift" of Mathematics is a dream come true! Since encountering a highly skilled and intelligent mathematics teacher, Mrs. Thomas, at my high school, my interest in the subject increased significantly. I knew that impacting and encouraging students was something I would love to do with my mathematics degree. A more long-term goal of mine is to be a mathematics professor at a prestigious HBCU like my Alma mater, Tuskegee University. I would like to focus on the areas of calculus and differential equations. My goal in life is to impact others via mathematics how my mother, Mrs. Thomas, and Dr. Bales impacted me.

Join me as we delve into the awesome world of Mathematics! My goal is to see growth in ALL students in search of HS topics. If you hate math, book with me, you'll begin to love it! Why? I'm awesome! I use comedy and laughter as a way to make math more enjoyable for my students. We will work on a quick warm-up then begin our lessons daily. I specialize in Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Algebra topics.

Mrs. King was one of the best teachers I've had in my entire school career. She actually cared if I had questions. She even made videos for me to watch while I went home to do homework. I know you'll learn a lot because I passed my first GMAS with her as my teacher. I never passed a GMAS before I got to her class. Excellent teacher!
