About Roshan
I am a passionate flute tutor with 6 years of teaching experience and around 150 students successfully mentored. I specialise in guiding students through a systematic learning process that builds strong fundamentals and long-term confidence.
My teaching covers breath control, embouchure strength, tone quality, articulation techniques, finger accuracy, scale practice, and rhythm training.
I customise lessons to align with each student’s goals, whether preparing for exams, performances, or personal growth. I emphasise effective practice habits and consistent improvement.
One of my unique strengths is creating a positive and respectful environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I encourage dedication, focus, and self-belief in every learner. My ultimate aim is to develop technically strong and passionate flute players.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on holistic musical development, adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I aim to cultivate students who are technically skilled, musically expressive, and confident performers.
Lessons begin with posture, breathing techniques, embouchure, tone production, and finger coordination. Students then progress through scales, articulation exercises, rhythm drills, and expressive phrasing, gradually building both technical and musical skills.
I integrate music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and rhythm comprehension to provide a complete understanding of music. This ensures students can apply theory effectively to performance.
Flexibility allows me to customise lessons according to individual goals, pace, and learning level. Collaboration is encouraged through discussions, repertoire selection, and goal-setting exercises.
I maintain a positive and encouraging environment where students feel motivated to practise, experiment, and grow. My goal is to develop confident, disciplined, and expressive flute musicians with a lifelong love for music.
