About Shreya
I am a student at Georgetown University majoring in English. I have tutored for three years and acted as a mentor with Barnstone for an additional two. I tutored mainly middle and high school students and all have reported seeing improvement, with the student I saw most regularly improving his literature score by 8%. I scored a 790 on the English section of the SAT and a 36 on the English section of the ACT and maintained a 4.5 GPA.

I give lessons mainly to middle and high school students. I approach my lessons by first identifying each individual student's strengths, weaknesses, and goals. I then work based on the teacher's curriculum and rubrics, using assignments to address the student's needs and give advice that is actionable. I prioritize areas that demonstrate the most improvement rather than nitpicking smaller, less consequential flaws.
