About Elwood
I am a committed piano tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience. I have taught students from school, college, and working professional backgrounds. I am passionate about helping students learn music in a simple and effective way.
My teaching style focuses on communication, patience, and structured learning. I adapt my lessons based on each student’s level and goals. I ensure that students build a strong foundation before moving to advanced topics.
I teach piano along with music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises. These subjects help students understand music better and improve their performance. I include practical examples and song practice.
My unique skill is creating easy learning methods that make complex topics simple. I help students develop discipline, confidence, and consistency. I also guide them in managing their practice time effectively.

My teaching methodology combines creativity, personalisation, and comprehensive learning. I believe that piano education should be both inspiring and technically sound, helping students develop skill, confidence, and a deep appreciation for music. Through open communication, I understand each student’s goals, learning style, and challenges, allowing me to design lessons that are tailored, motivating, and effective.
I emphasise creativity by encouraging students to improvise, explore different musical genres, and compose original pieces. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to each student’s pace, skill level, and preferred learning style, ensuring steady progress while keeping learning enjoyable.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This integrated approach ensures that students develop both technical proficiency and expressive skills. My goal is to nurture confident, skilled, and passionate musicians who enjoy playing, performing, and exploring music creatively.
