About Amy

Hi! My name is Amelia, and I’m a passionate English tutor with hopes of becoming a future English teacher. I’ve always loved reading, writing, and everything to do with English, but more importantly, I love helping others understand and enjoy it too. I know that English isn’t easy for everyone—whether it’s tricky grammar rules, essay writing, or just feeling confident when answering questions. That’s why I aim to make my lessons as engaging and stress-free as possible. I tailor everything to suit each student’s needs, breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense. My goal is to help students build their confidence, improve their skills, and realise that English doesn’t have to be as difficult as it seems. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why my lessons are completely tailored to their individual needs. Whether it’s improving grammar, boosting confidence in creative writing, or mastering tricky exam techniques, I make learning engaging and easy to understand. My goal is to help your child progress at their own pace, in a supportive and encouraging environment. As a high-achieving student with a strong passion for English, I have excelled in my own studies and developed effective learning strategies that I now use to help others (achieving grade nine in English literature and language GCSE and predicted A* in English literature). I have experience working with students of different abilities, helping them build confidence and improve their grades. My patient and personalised approach ensures that every student feels supported and motivated to reach their full potential.
