About Hayley
As a Grade 8 pianist I have been teaching for 5 years to a wide range of ability levels taking students from beginners progressing up to Grade 5, assisting with GCSE and A level music theory, as well as tutoring SEN students within school.
My experience also includes working in primary and secondary schools as a music tutor to SEN students and assisting in music lessons, both in London and Essex.

I welcome students of all abilities and ages to begin and progress in their music studies. My lessons are aimed to be inclusive and directed towards the enjoyment of learning to play and perform your instrument. Students are taught the fundamentals of music before progressing onto becoming a well-rounded musician whether that involve working towards examinations or continuing to learn a repertoire of challenging and fun pieces.
I include the use of warm up exercises and duet performances to ensure confidence and technical skills are in place. Music theory is also an important component to understand how music notation is read fluently and can lead onto the undertaking of own compositions and improvisational skills.
With any student I am open to incorporating their preferred style of learning and will plan lessons that are enjoyable and develop their skills.
