About Emma
Throughout my years of schooling, I encountered significant challenges with traditional educational methods. The conventional approach of learning from textbooks and replicating information from the board proved ineffective. It wasn't until I had a teacher who invested time in demonstrating concepts practically and, more importantly, encouraged me to question the underlying principles—to ask 'why' and 'how'—that my academic trajectory shifted. This mentor would consistently prompt me with 'what else?', creating this new world of independent thinking and exploration. Without this pivotal encouragement, I doubt I would have pursued higher education or achieved the successes I have since cultivated. This transformative learning experience is my impetus for teaching: I aspire to be the educator who inspires students to continually seek 'what else?' in their pursuit of knowledge.

I take a fresh, modern approach to teaching—no textbooks here. My lessons focus on open conversation and understanding between us, the teacher and student. We'll draw our own conclusions together to create truly unique work, all while keeping in mind what's come before academically. The aim is to expand your knowledge, and potential within the creative world—not copy and paste artists who have come before. Universities and future employers no longer want standard academic graduates, the world now strives for independent thinkers. This is what my lessons will promote.
