Hi! I’m Kristine, a licensed high school mathematics teacher in the Philippines with 10 years of classroom experience under the Department of Education (DepEd). Teaching Method and Techniques As an experienced high school math teacher under DepEd Philippines, my teaching approach is student-centered, conceptual, and adaptive. I aim to make mathematics meaningful and manageable for each learner. I begin by identifying the learner's current level and specific needs through diagnostic questioning or short assessments. I use the Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) method to ensure students truly understand the "why" behind the math—not just memorize steps. I incorporate visual aids, real-life examples, and guided problem-solving, especially for complex topics like algebra, functions, and statistics. I encourage students to explain their thinking to build mathematical communication and reasoning skills. I integrate tech tools such as Desmos, GeoGebra, or digital whiteboards to make learning interactive.
