About Safia
I developed a passion for teaching when I first stepped into the classroom, I wish I had chosen this as my career earlier. I feel children are our future and as teachers, we play such a big part in their lives, we help them find themselves as individuals, we nurture them somewhat. We teach them not only subjects but also life skills. We are shaping the future, teachers are positive models for their students. When a child is taught something and retains this you know something has been accomplished. As teachers, we have a lasting impact on their lives, and help them develop not only academically but emotionally too.

I feel every child is an individual and all have different ways of learning. As teachers, we should be able to recognise these styles and adapt accordingly so every child is able to reach their full potential. Interaction is very important and as teachers and learners, we need to make sure it is a comfortable two-way thing. Activities need to be engaging and discussions need to take place to keep the subjects interesting.
