About Rachel
I am in training as a musical director for musical theatre and originally grew up in Germany but have lived in the UK all my adult life. I have been involved in music since age 4 and I enjoy passing on knowledge and sharing music, though I feel that often the national music education system does a disservice to the subject. I believe that memorisation and comprehension are too often conflated, and I aim to tutor in a way that helps tutees succeed in their exams, concerts, etc. through comprehension rather than memorisation.

Friendly yet effective teaching style, focussing on both theory and practice. Effective at translating foreign concepts into an easier language to understand.
For any ages over 12 - most experienced with 18-30 year olds. 45min lessons preferred but can adapt to any time.
