About Emma
Hi, I'm Emma, a passionate educator with a B.A. in Anthropology and minors in Spanish, North Africa, and the Middle East. Additionally, I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from Northeastern University.
I love to learn. More importantly, I love to teach.
Over the years, I have worked as a private tutor and coach, taught in urban public school classrooms, and led after-school and student leadership programs.
My passion for education didn't start early. During adolescence, I struggled with the school system, frustrated by rules that felt unspoken and unexplained. It wasn't until later that I discovered I had dyslexia. I rediscovered my love for learning during my undergraduate years, thriving academically after receiving the right tools in a non-judgmental environment.
My mission is to nurture students' curiosity and intrinsic ambition, providing an education that challenges and inspires growth from the start. I believe in unlocking the potential in every student, and reject the notion of a "bad kid." I am committed to ensuring that every student has a supportive advocate who believes in them and actively works to make education accessible.
Outside of the classroom, you can find me deep-diving into my latest historical obsession, working out, or trying out new restaurants with my friends.

As a licensed teacher in both MA and NY, I have years of experience working with students 1:1. I enjoy helping students achieve their unique goals in an education system that isn’t one size fit all. I have helped students pass AP history exams, improve their grades significantly, and increase their ACT/SAT scores. My goal is to not only help students thrive academically but to feel confident!
