About Ben
I come from a family of teachers, so it’s something that’s always been present in my life. I have taught myself in very difficult environments. For instance I taught English as a foreign language to over 1,000 students in a Thai high school, very few of whom spoke any English at all! I also tutored privately whilst living in Thailand. There’s nothing quite as rewarding as helping someone discover the means to help themselves and seeing them progress in ways they didn’t think they were able to.

I like to start by getting to know each student well. This is to find out where their strengths lie, what they might struggle with, and how best our time might be spent together in order to achieve the goals that we set out together. I am highly capable at providing structures to follow in order to achieve any task, by breaking down seemingly complex issues into smaller, more achievable chunks - it’s how I learn myself! Every skill learned and mastered is formulaic, it’s just about finding the structure to follow.
