About Em
I am a twenty three year old woman who is ecstatic about teaching voice and other related instruments.
With my degree of Music Education at CBU, I also graduated Summa Cum Laude, as well as with the highest honor for an undergraduate at the school of music.
I have been known to be a very open-minded person. Whatever you identify with, I will always do my best to accommodate and understand you.
Our lessons are a safe space. Voice is a fickle instrument. It shows who a person truly is, and really, is the most vulnerable of all of the instruments, because it is the only one that is individually yours. In all lessons, but especially voice lessons, you are safe with me.
I am constantly learning and reading about new vocal techniques, and this has brought a new edge to my teaching style. (Plus, it’s really fun!)

Hello! My name is Em, and I am based in the Southern California/IE area.
I received my bachelors in Music Education in Spring of 2022.
I teach and tutor the following:
Music theory
Ukulele
Guitar
Voice
Within voice, I specialize in:
Operatic voice
Musical theater
While in my undergraduate, I had the wonderful opportunity of being a music theory tutor, as well as a vocal coach. That being said, I have around three years of experience in doing such.
Lessons are completely different for each student, based on skill level, how you learn, and even personality. I would love to learn how you learn, and adapt my teaching style to you!
Lessons and tutoring sessions with me will include, of course, tutoring. Along with this, I like to spend some time to get to know who you are in an effort to better understand your learning style. This is so that I am able to better benefit your strengths, and that we can work on your weaknesses together.

Perfect! Em is a great resource to my kid’s musical journey
- I had a ukulele lesson with Mayra’s daughter, and she is so bright. She is so quick to learn, understood concepts with ease, and is so fun to teach. I will have to get to know her more to know points of weakness, but overall, she is very smart and very capable with a bright future ahead of her.Em's response :
