As an English Teacher, I designed tailored lesson plans that were specifically suited for adult learners and contributed to their success in developing their English fluency and adjusting to living in the United States. This experience provided me with the opportunity to modify my teaching styles to accommodate the needs of various learners.
Additionally, my time as an English Language Teacher in South Korea under the EPIK program permitted me to teach students aged 8-15 years old through experiential and interactive lessons and also collaborated with other teachers to adapt the materials appropriately for their capabilities.
My passion for education and literacy has deep foundations in my graduate and professional experience. With my graduate studies in community-based education and Indigenous language revitalization, I believe firmly in the importance of developing inclusive and culturally responsive educational environments.
