About Donnavin Thomas
I LOVE learning and teaching mandarin. I've enjoyed teaching since a very young age; I started teaching swim lessons at the age of 11 and have loved teaching what I learn ever since. I've been a trainer for several military programs for 5 years, including language mentorship.
I believe that with a little support, anyone can become multi-lingual and make a deeper connection with those around them. That connection is what drives me to continue learning and assisting others.

I give a basic diagnostic test to see where each student is, then build a lesson plan to supplement necessary areas. For example, if you're struggling with pronounciation, I will focus on those areas until you're satisfied with your progress. I like my lessons to stay fun, I believe language learning is a lot easier when you can associate it to things you enjoy, so I prefer not to give mundane lessons. Homework can be given at the request of the student.
For more advanced students who have a very strong foundation, we will focus on going in-depth with upper-level material of interest, on subjects such as economics, politics, psychology, etc..
