About Holly
Hello,
I'm Holly Howe and I perform under the stage name Holliday Howe. Armed with a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music from Goldsmiths College, London, I've been deeply immersed in the world of music since I can remember!
My musical journey began with classical piano lessons when I was a child before venturing into vocal lessons in my later teen years. Along the way, I earned both Grade 6 Vocal and Grade 7 Piano certificates.
I then made the leap to move to the UK for study, where I began producing commercial pop music and have been honing my skills for the last decade!
The music industry can be cutthroat and unforgiving, so I believe it is important for every musician to be as self sufficient as possible. We must gain and hone our skills so that we may always be able to create for ourselves first and foremost, and to maintain healthy practice when performing! That is why I tutor. That is why I teach.

I have been producing music in Logic Pro for over 8 years and wish I'd had someone to teach me the basics so I could confidently start my career sooner. I am here to be as helpful as possible, teaching as much jargon as I can so that you can go out and understand youtube tutorials / know what to search for on your own!
Lessons are structured over the course of 13 sessions, each 45 minutes long. We start with the basics of how to create a project in Logic Pro, the foundations of instrumental arrangement and what to listen for in the music you're inspired by. As we progress each week, you will learn how to:
- Build your own drum patterns & make beats
- Pick, create and manipulate samples
- Record and edit vocals
- Introduction into sound design using Logic Pro native synths
- When and how to implement compression & EQ
- Basic song structure and how to create interest in your productions
I believe that in order to become a producer, we need to start thinking like a producer and get into the "why" of a track, not just the "how." As we progress through the weeks, you will get listening exercises based on your personal taste in music to help build your ear!

Please be advised that Superprof only allows for hourly rates.
My rate is for 45 minutes at $50 - for the full 13 lesson course, it comes to around 9.75 hours.
If you would like to only purchase one lesson at a time, please contact me we can arrange something
Various studies into the optimal time to practice and learn have concluded that 40-50 minutes is ideal for concentration! I want my students to get the absolute most out of their time with me without energy lagging too much which is why I teach in 45 minute segments.
