About Andrea
Hi everyone, my name is Andrea Maldonado. I am originally from Puerto Rico, therefore my first language is still spanish. I did sports and traveled all around the world. During those tripsI encountered some language barriers but was not a afraid to learn new things.
After being a sports coach for many years I discovered the power of fun and learning through exposure. What it mean by this is that sometimes the most simple things can be of greatest impact. For example, music and movies; listening to the radio and audio books. I like to believe that knowing the meaning of words, context and phonetics can facilitate the use of grammar and accentuation.

My idea of learning another language does not involve sitting relentlessly behind a book and going word for word. Yes, reading is very helpful but let's start by the basics. What if we can first start picking up context... we can achieve that by listening and watching videos and movies.
We can learn together, first we learn the context, then we decipher words and meanings, putting together the phonetics will help us create sentences that one day we might be able to start breaking down into written words. Towards the end spanish books will be a blast to read.
