Hello! My name is Lily. I am from the United States in Northern America. I currently live in Kawasaki, Japan in the Kanagawa Prefecture and teach English to students just like you. I love to travel, hike, and try many types of new food along the way. I also like anime, painting, and listening to various types of music in my free time.

I am a student centered teacher who observes and supports my students as they learn by the use of prompting questions and delegating useful tasks in order to help them achieve their goals.
Learning a new language is intimidating. I teach my lessons revolving around that center piece by creating a welcoming and engaging class where students feel confident and safe to practice their English abilities with each other.
My lessons are for Elementary and Junior High School level students who are learning English as a second language. The lessons are meant for students to not only practice their writing abilities, but to practice their listening and speaking skills as well.
Each class starts with a welcoming warm-up, a fun game (or two correlating with speaking and listening), and a writing portion for students to express the target language on paper and to reflect on what they learned for that lesson, what they struggled with, and any feed back for me.
