About Damian
Hi there! I'm an English tutor and university admissions mentor based in London, UK. I've been tutoring for as long as I can remember, and, after working incredibly hard to be accepted not only into an Ivy League college but also into Cambridge and Oxford, I am so excited to give young adults the support they might need to achieve the same.

I take an individualised approach to my lessons, tuning into what works best for each student. For some students, this may be visual revision, utilising flashcards, mind maps, or repetitive written activities. For others, this might require something a bit more physical, such as acting out scenes from a book or reciting lines. Regarding university admissions plans and essays, I also take an individualised approach, but I break down the entire process for my students such that they fully understand it and are given all the tools to go forth and achieve what it is they want to achieve. I don't write my essays for my students just like I can't take their GCSEs for them. However, I give them what they need to have the best chances possible. I have been teaching at the secondary school level for nearly a year now, and I have over 2 years of experience advising at the university level. I've been accepted and attended Stanford University, an Ivy League level school, and I've also been accepted to both Oxford and Cambridge for my master's degree. When it comes to university admissions, I think it's safe to say that I know what I'm doing.
