About Maggie
I’ve been teaching music lessons since I was still in music school 8 years ago. I’ve taught students from age 4 to adult, and even tutored some children in Albi, France. I’ve performed with my students in many recitals.
You can find some of my original recordings on all streaming platforms, Maggie Loar. I perform in shows and venues in NYC and also New Orleans.

I like to incorporate technique and theory with songs that students want to sing or play. To me it’s important to understand what inspires each student’s desire to learn. I like to help them develop a simple warm up and practice routine and work on a couple songs that coincide with their skill level as we work together.
