About Joi
I graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, then went on to be a dancer at the Walt Disney Company. I got the opportunity to travel to 8 countries and share my craft with the world. It’s freeing do be doing what you love for a living. I’m passionate about various dance styles and musical theatre. I’m skilled in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Theatre Dance. I am also passionate about musical theatre history and can share my knowledge of the craft from the 1920s to present day. My priority as a teacher is to ensure my students have a safe space to create, grow and have fun!

I create a welcoming stress free environment for my students. The best way to improve is to be comfortable with messing up. With technique, quality stage presence and dance history knowledge I can bring my students skill set from awesome to amazing. Even if students are learning dance just for fun, my priority as a teacher is ensuring my students have a safe space to be creative, build their skill set and do what they love!
