About Caterina
My name is Caterina Moreno and I am a 2023 graduate of the New Zealand School of Dance. I have had the privilege of participating in the Wellington Fringe Festival on two occasions, showcasing my work in pieces such as H.Y.P.E, directed by U.K.U dance company, and Lick Off My Tears, Death is Also Dying, choreographed and directed by Sofija Milic. Throughout my studies at the New Zealand School of Dance, I engaged with a diverse array of classes and performances under the guidance of esteemed tutors from both Aotearoa and abroad. I have pursued several workshops internationally, including those with Dance North in Australia and various programmes in Europe, further enriching my artistic perspective. For the past two and a half years, I have been teaching contemporary dance, sharing my love for movement with a broad age range amongst dancers and young actors. Each of these experiences has profoundly shaped my practice, allowing me to integrate teaching and continuous learning into my artistic journey. I love movement because of the connection that it fosters between people. I strongly believe that movement is for all and that everyone should have the chance to be a part of that!

My classes are either in Wellington, Auckland or online! I love to teach basic or difficult contemporary skills, improvisation, and create competition solos. Typically our lesson will go for an hour/ an hour fifteen. I have engaged with a diverse array of classes and performances under the guidance of esteemed tutors from both Aotearoa and abroad. I am a very experienced teacher who's taught a broad amount of age ranges and cater each of my classes to any skillset. These lessons are for anyone with any sort of experience in contemporary dance.
