About Serena
I have a BA (hons) in Literature as well as a BA (hons) in Acting and Performance which gives me many years experience in reading and analysing classical texts. I have also spent many years as a drama teacher where I have taught students to access the deeper meaning of scripts and screenplays so they can unearth a more rounded performance. I love language and literature and this has inspired me to write three plays which have been performed at festivals. I am currently writing a book which I hope to publish in due course.

I am a kind and patient tutor who feels passionate about literature and drama. The typical length of a class is an hour and in this time I can help with grammar, punctuation and text-analysis. In the class we will look into all the components that go into the deeper reading of text and I will help you to explore the subtextual meaning of prose, poetry and other literary forms including Shakespearean text. I am able to help anyone who is studying English at primary or higher education levels.
