About Isaac
I am a professional cellist and teacher with both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Cello Performance from Penn State. I have performed professionally with orchestras throughout Pennsylvania, including serving as Acting Principal Cellist of the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, and have extensive experience as both a solo and chamber musician.
Teaching is an important part of my career, and I have worked with students across a wide range of ages and experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced young musicians. My goal as a teacher is to combine the high standards of professional musical training with an encouraging, down-to-earth environment where students feel comfortable learning, experimenting, and growing as musicians.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual goals, whether you’re picking up the cello for the first time, developing your technique, preparing for an audition, or working on advanced repertoire. I emphasize building a strong technical foundation while helping students develop confidence, musical expression, and a sound that feels uniquely their own.
Lessons are supportive, practical, and engaging. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt my teaching to the way each student learns best and aim to make the cello both rewarding and enjoyable at every level!
