About Sheridan
I'm a UC San Diego graduate with professional experience in the legal field, and a strong passion for education and mentorship. Through my work with Mentor Collective, I’ve had the privilege of guiding first-year undergraduate students, helping them with classes and exam prep. As a tutor, I bring a patient, supportive, and results-oriented approach. I understand that every student learns differently, and I tailor each session to meet individual needs and goals whether that’s building a strong foundation, preparing for exams, or gaining confidence in a subject. My teaching style is clear, practical, and engaging. I break down complex topics into understandable pieces, often using real-world examples and interactive techniques to reinforce learning. Above all, I aim to create a comfortable space where students feel heard, encouraged, and empowered to grow.

My approach as a tutor is centered on clarity, patience, and adaptability. I believe in breaking down topics into manageable, relatable parts and adjusting my teaching style based on the student’s learning preferences. I aim to build not just understanding, but confidence and independent thinking. I have been a student myself very recently and have managed to obtain many different teaching and studying habits from myself and my professors. Everyone learns in their own ways and I am here to help facilitate that learning and guide students in whatever subjects they may need help with.
