I design my lessons with the learner in mind. As an expert in adult learning theory, I know how to support my students to acquire a second language in a fun and engaging way. Together, we will co-create a thematic unit that meets your individual learning style.
Once we define your learning goals, I will use an "Understanding By Design" template to create a road map to include objectives, assessments, projects and specific content. I usually begin by generating interest in the topic. Then I model the target language in context. After that, we will practice together while I provide specific and meaningful feedback. Next, you will work on a project of your choice in which you apply the target language in a meaningful way. Finally, you will present your learning to an audience either live or in a pre-record method using Flipgrid or another online learning platform.
