About Katie
Hi students! My name is Katie and I have been singing professionally for over 10 years now. I am a multidisciplinary artist, so I both sing and teach multiple styles of singing, including contemporary, classical, opera, jazz, and more! I am a graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theater, and Dance, and currently live in Los Angeles. I am so excited to work with you!

My singing lessons are student-centered, supportive, and tailored to each individual’s voice, goals, and musical style. I focus on building strong vocal technique through breath control, pitch accuracy, tone development, and vocal health, while also helping students gain confidence and emotional expression in their performance. A typical lesson includes a short vocal warm-up, technique exercises, and guided work on songs chosen to suit the student’s range and interests, with real-time feedback and practical tips for improvement. What sets me apart is my ability to break down vocal concepts into simple, actionable steps while creating a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their voice. My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate singers, including children, teens, and adults, whether they are preparing for performances, auditions, or simply looking to improve their skills and enjoy singing more confidently.
