About Grant
I recently graduated from the University of Michigan with dual degrees in Astronomy and Physics. My research focuses on the kinematics of massive stars, and I have recently published a paper on this topic. Throughout my academic career, I have developed a strong foundation in both basic and advanced mathematics and physics concepts, and I am well-versed in the curriculum of high school AP courses. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also a professional bassist, performing with several orchestras in my region.

I specialize in math, physics, and astronomy tutoring.
My teaching method is centered around adaptability and engagement. I tailor my approach based on the learner's goals, interests, and current level of understanding.
A typical lesson plan might include:
1. Introduction (5-10 minutes): Review previous material, set goals for the session, and introduce the topic.
2. Core Instruction (20-30 minutes): Present new concepts, using visuals, examples, or interactive tools to enhance understanding.
3. Practice/Application (15-20 minutes): Engage students in exercises or problems that allow them to apply what they've learned. This could be a discussion, problem-solving session, or case study analysis.
4. Review and Recap (5-10 minutes): Summarize key points, address any lingering questions, and provide additional resources or assignments if necessary.
5. Feedback and Next Steps (5 minutes): Gather feedback from the student, discuss progress, and outline what will be covered in the next session.
The three things that set me apart as a tutor are patience, personalization, and resourcefulness.
