About Joe
In 2019 I graduated from the University of Salford with a Master's in Interactive Music and Advanced Studio Composition with my final result being a Distinction. Before that I graduated from the same University in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Creative Music Technology with my final result being a First.
I have performed in bands since the age of 14 and have been recording music since the age of 16 and have experience within studio environments. I continue to write and record music to this day. I moved towards more experimental songwriting and composition as I began to help bands with hybrid rock/electronic setups by the time I was in my 20s.
My main interests are in synthesisers, sequencers, samplers and experimental composition techniques. A lot of the time I tend to work outside the box and pride myself on my knowledge of hardware and "in-the-box" integration.
I pride myself on being an all-rounded creative individual with other expertise other creative multimedia platforms.

I can teach at any level and will tailor all lessons to your specific needs. If you have music projects you are working on I can work with you on specific areas of improvement. Length of lesson will depend on required learning but I would recommend 2 hours for going through projects and an hour for targeted areas. If desired I can set targeted technical exercises to do in between lessons or set out multiple technical exercises that will help you engage with certain techniques and concepts.
