About Isabelle
I'm a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a B.S. in Corporate Communications with a minor in Rhetoric and Writing. My academic background centers on argumentation, persuasive writing, and effective communication, culminating in a senior thesis I researched, wrote, and defended in a memorized 30-minute speech followed by a 30-minute Q&A before a panel of expert judges. I studied abroad at Queen Mary University of London, was named to the Moody College Dean's List, and am a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association honor society. Beyond the classroom, I've applied my writing skills professionally as a corporate communications intern, a legal contractor drafting witness testimony, and as a press release writer in the Office of the Texas Governor. I bring both academic rigor and real-world writing experience to every lesson.

I teach grammar, spelling, writing, and rhetoric through the student's own writing rather than from a textbook. Each lesson starts with a brief check-in, moves into a focused mini-lesson on a specific skill (sentence structure, argumentation, punctuation, style), and ends with applied practice on a real piece of writing. I work with middle and high school students, university students across all disciplines, and adult learners preparing for exams or professional writing tasks. What sets me apart is the personalized feedback: no two lessons look the same because no two writers struggle with the same things.
