About Andre
I'm Andre, a First-Class Psychology graduate from the University of Warwick, with strong results across the degree including 81% in Statistics and 74% in Quantitative Research Methods. Beyond academics, I've spent years explaining and teaching concepts to others: I mentored Year 7 students during sixth form, helping them build confidence in subjects they found difficult, and I regularly help look after and teach younger family members, including a cousin with additional needs, which has sharpened my ability to explain things patiently and adapt to how different people learn.
I first got into psychology because I was genuinely curious about why people think and behave the way they do, and that curiosity has stayed with me through my degree and into how I teach it now. My goal as a tutor isn't just to help students pass exams, but to help them actually understand the material, so it sticks with them well beyond the test.

I focus on building real understanding, not memorisation. I break psychological theories and studies down into clear, real-world examples so concepts actually stick. For quantitative sections (research methods, statistics, data interpretation), I draw on my own background studying stats at university, an area many students find intimidating and where I can add real value.
Lessons centre on active recall and exam technique: working through past paper questions, marking against exam board criteria, and identifying recurring mistakes. I adapt pace and explanation style to how each student learns, something I built through mentoring Year 7 students in sixth form and regularly helping teach younger family members.
