About Tanisha
I am a recent graduate of an MSci Biology degree from UCL. At school, biology was always my favourite subject- every lesson left me asking more questions. With tutoring, I seek to spread that passion for this subject by fostering genuine interest, encouraging questions that exceed the curriculum. By doing so, I firmly believe grades go up- no one wants to study a subject they have no interest in. As understanding of basic principles deepens, so does retention of more complex topics. This is a core element of my tutoring style.

My lessons are always tailor-made for my students, lasting around an hour (although this is entirely flexible). I create lesson plans based on the specific content they wish to cover in that lesson, and typically teach a mixture of content and guided questions to ensure understanding. I then follow with practice questions to ensure long-term retention and an appreciation for the subject matter. I have been tutoring GCSE and A-Level students for 6 years, with student testimonies describing my lessons as engaging, fun and deepened grasp of a topic.
