About Kanika
I am a digital designer with 5+ years of industry experience, a bachelors degree in communication design, and a masters in design management.
During my early years as a design student, I found inspiration in teachers and mentors who were actively working in the industry. After 5+ years of working across design disciplines, I now want to share my learnings and inspire future generations of designers.
I like encouraging my students to pursue their creative dreams regardless of their current skill level. At the same time, with my more advanced students, I don't shy away from giving brutally honest feedback and pushing them to realise their creative potential.
First, I will help you get familiar with "the box" of design practice. Then, I will push you to think outside of this box and develop your own unique practice.

Each 1 hour lesson would consist of discussions around theoretical concepts in design, their relevance in professional design practice, as well as hands-on work on practical projects.
For beginners (ages 8 to 15), project briefs would focus more on developing a broad range of design skills and mastering design software.
For intermediate and advanced learners (ages 16 - 21), project work will gradually build towards a strong design portfolio to help them seek employment or higher education in design.
Before beginning lessons, I request potential students to fill my Student Introduction form, followed by an initial 30 min consultation to discuss the student's learning goals and current skill level.
